使徒言行録 ２章１節～１１節
ペンテコスはイースターから５０日目の教会のお祭りです。ギリシャ語で５０番目をペンテコステと言います。２０００年前のこの日、天から聖霊が降り教会が生まれたのです。聖霊とは何でしょうか。聖霊とは教会の言葉を生み出す神の力です。聖霊が新しい言葉を与え、そこから教会の歴史は始まりました。教会の指導者となったペトロが声を張り上げました。「ユダヤの方々、エルサレムに住人たち、知っていただきたいことがあります。私の言葉に耳を傾けてください」。ペンテコステは教会の誕生日です。同時に、教会の言葉の誕生日でもあったのです。聖霊が教会に新しい言葉を与えたのです。未だ誰も聞いたことのない言葉です。世界の人々に告げる新しい言葉です。その言葉の中心はイエス・キリストの証しです。最後の晩餐の後、三度主イエスを裏切ったペトロです。そんなペトロがペンテコステの風を受けて、「私の言葉に耳を傾けてください」と叫び始め、主イエスを証したのです。ペトロの言葉は神の出来事とされたのです。教会は神の出来事です。教会が語る言葉は神の出来事です。私たちの信仰は神の出来事です。神が...
